If you live in the City of Merced, you may have recently received our mailer asking for your input on community priorities. We are aware of a glitch with the QR code on the mailer - it did not work - and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you for finding your way to this project site!
As the City begins planning for its 2026/2027 budget update, actions from the State of California, the expiration Federal Government safety funding, and an increased need to address homelessness and safety in our shared spaces has strained our budgets. Some challenging decisions will need to be made later this fiscal year.
As part of this year’s budget process, we asked residents to provide input on service priorities. Some of the priorities identified by your neighbors so far include:
Addressing Homelessness, including encampments
Responding quickly to neighborhood fires
Preventing gang activity in the city
Protecting and maintaining 911 police response times/ ability to respond to a natural or medical disaster
Fixing potholes
Maintaining Merced’s local quality of life
Keeping City Parks Safe and Clean
The City of Merced is reaching out to the community to gather feedback on service priorities.
